Hello All! We are going to become full timers early Spring 2013 and we can't wait. We have been planning, dreaming, researching and looking for the 'perfect' RV. We are looking for a 2002 Monaco Windsor 40 PKDD (moderator edit) Glad I found this forum as I have already gleaned some great info from it! I do have one question for you however. Does anyone know about towing an all wheel drive manual Subaru Outback? I have been told it's a cinch if you add/or take out a fuse that will disable the all wheel drive? Love to hear and thanks! Sounds like you're in for a big adventure soon. Hopefully you'll find this forum to be helpful. I know it sure taught us most of what we needed to know to get from a total newbie to full timers in only one year.

Did you check the owner's manual on the Subaru? There is usually a section on towing.

I should have mentioned that websites of both Motorhome Magazine and Remco have towing guides which are widely used to determine if a particular vehicle can be towed four down, but Sarah's suggestion of looking in your manual is the best.

Hi, welcome to the forum. Motorhome Magazine Towables Guides shows Subaru Outback is towable only with manual transmission. From the Remco Towing site: "All manual transmission, AWD, Suburus can be towed 4 on the ground without modification." If a fuse needs to be pulled, the owner's manual (as Sarah suggested) should tell you. Happy journeys.
