This is all new and exciting to me. I've been dreaming of traveling like this for a long time. After a long and mostly happy marriage, I am starting the next chapter of my life. My kids are grown and I had been trying to imagine where I would go and what to do. My family are all over CA, TX, GA, FL, and I couldn't imagine living anywhere permanently, so about 6 months ago I started thinking about getting an RV of some kind and heading out. At first it was just a crazy idea, but as time went on it became more real, and a lot less crazy. I finally made myself commit last week when I got my brother in Atlanta, to by a 99 25' Terry 5th wheel. I live in TX and will be going to N GA in may where I will see it for the first time and start making it into my next home. I will be looking for the right truck to pair with it and hope to bring them both back to TX around Xmas. It may seem silly, but I wanted to get the trailer first, so that I wouldn't talk myself out of doing this. My plan is to travel to Alaska next summer, and the Fl keys while I'm on the east coast. I've lived in TX for 10 yrs and haven't begun to explore the west, so I have a lot to look forward to. I'm hoping that shorter excursion in the beginning will help prepare me for the long hall to AK. I am open to any advice from others who have made similar choices/changes
