I am trying to find the CB Prep Wires on my 2008
MA. I have opened up the switch panel marked CB prep wires are in this compartment, and have shearched for them. I assume that I am looking for a black, red and the coxial cable in a bundle.

Thanks Tom M 2008 MA

MA4529 welcome to the Newmar forum and irv2.
The wires, 12v& coax, maybe in a plastic bag under your dash on left hand side of steering wheel. Have to get on back with flashlite to find.
Congrats on your new MADP many safe and happy miles.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.

Does the coax cable have the stanard screw on connector attached? I can see heavy black cable that looks like coax but it had a connector that does not match the screw on type.I am afraid of poking around to much with my hand and knocking off a connector. Does the coax cable come down the windshied post from the roof? Maybe I can trace it down the post in to the dash area.

Thanks TomM

Yes. The left one.

You may have found a cell phone antenna coax.

I am still loking for my CB connection. I have a brand new Maxon handheld that came with the coach(05 KS) original owner never hooked it up!!!!
I am unable to locate any connection under the dash. I think I might have to take the cover off the side post and check that out!!!

MA,

My coax and power were tie wrapped to one of the wire looms under the dash. I found them, after about the tenth try, by laying under the dash and looking at each loom carefully (they were actually bundled within the wires and not easily visible until two tie wraps were cut).

Mine was mid dash (front to rear), to the right (from driver's seat) of the steering column, and about a third way across the dash(between steering column and accessory pedestal with the stereo / ac control / and rear view tv, etc).

MA4529 Congats on the 08. Be sure you have a cb antenna. It will be located on the front driver side. It looks like a rubber duckie but under the rubber covering you can see and feel a small wire that wraps around the antenna and the cap should come off revealing an adj that allows you to adj the swr. That said it took my dealer, Newmar and I three trys to locate mine. The easiest way is to remove the instr. panel. With the 600 million wires that dead end under the dash patience patience patience is the order of the day. Yes it will have a standard screw on connection. The lable on the two wires will be DASH RADIO. The fuse is in the panel in the compartment where your shore power cord is located. The cable is tucked behind alot of wires under the w/s post and the wires my or my not be bundled with the cable. Happy hunting.

If you can't find from below than what "aubie " said is what you have to do. When you back off all the screws you radio will keep you from fully pulling off dash board but should allow you to see wires on top of harness wiring.
Your MA was wired for the CB ANT RIGHT. Its a option on 2008 MA.

Thanks agian for all the replys. Yes I have the option CB Antenna option. I called Newmar for help and was directed to look on right side of the compartment for a coil of wires. If I cannot find them to remove the dash panel. You would think that they would do a better job of marking them, I had the same problem with 02 Dutch Star. I will let you know when I find them.

I have just found the CB prep wires. Had to take off the WS post cover and trace the coax to a bundle that was on the left hand side of the dash.

Now,were is the best place to mount the Cobra remote mount CB that will look like factory?
