Central Michigan New Owners
Hello everyone. I thought I would share our excitement with other coach owners. We will be taking delivery of our new 2015 Dutch Star 4369 at the end of July. We will be visiting the plant to watch it go down the production line on July 9th. We are very excited to say the least! I was wondering if anyone would have a recommended list of essential items that would be thought of as "must have" to be carried on a coach for extended trips. Any information is helpful. Thanks in advance.

Welcome and glad to meet you!
Look through the various threads in the General Discussion and Class A forums along with the Appliance and Equipment (or is it systems) and FT forums. You will find lots of info in those forums.

Welcome to the Forum and Newmar family. Be sure you have ample lengths of a good sewer hose(s) and connections. At least 2 - 25' drinking water hoses with a water regulator. I also carry an extra hose for back washing the black tank. At least a dogbone connection to go from 50 AMP to 30AMP. (some parks only have 30AMP service) 25' of TV cable with connectors. Some parks include cable with your nightly park fee. Pads for your leveler systems - at least 4. 2 wheel chocks. Oh one of those slinky's for your sewer hose. It fits under the sewer hose and slowly graduates from your dump valves to the parks sewer connection. Assorted tools including an electric tester to check the status of the power before hooking up. And if one is not already installed a Progressive surge suppressor to protect your coach's electrical systems - we had ours installed for around $400 including the unit.
There are many more items you will need but you will find that out as you travel.
Best of luck and Happy RV'ing

Glad to have you here with us. Welcome to the Newmar family!!
Experience is the best way to find out what essentials you need on your new MH. When you get your new coach spend a weekend in it at home. Refrain from going into your house and you will soon learn what you need to have on board. Also make a list of the things you need to do before departure and use it everytime you leave. You'll never have to say "what was that ?" Also make a list for arriving at your destination. Happy Trails!!

Welcome to the irv2 gang, Bill & Pam! And...congrats on your new wheels; seeing your unit on the assembly line is especially cool! You already have some great suggestions from others that posted today. One thing I found useful when we bought our new MH in February was to search the Internet for "RV Checklists" and "Camping Checklists." In those lists I found ideas for things we might need or want for our MH. Good luck and enjoy your new wheels!

Welcome to the forums. Hope you enjoy your new coach when you get it. The waiting must be rough.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome and for the advice and suggestions. The waiting is extremely hard to deal with but should be worth the wait. July 9th can't get here soon enough!!
