Talking Checkin in as the Official Newest Newbe

I Found iRV2 site acouple day's ago & the wife can't get off of it. Too much great information here.

We bought a 2000 Minnie from a personal friend who is going out of country for a couple years at a deal we couldn't pass up.

I am going to retire at the end of January 2013. Timming couldnt be better.

We have never been RVing before but will have plenty of time to learn & have fun.

Dropped it off today at Campers word for a check-up & will be putting new tires on. Then we will be off to see the country in Feburary.

Enjoy, We've be RVing since 1980 and love it. Not fulltimers don't know if I want to do that even when time allows. But we have been thru 8 units thru the years and now are in a Class A 2002 Newmar Dutchstar and go whenever we can. Being in WI and still working we are not looking forward to winterizing and putting it into storage around the end of the month ;-(... You meet the nicest people RVing!! And see so many gorgeous sights.

If you're heading out in February, you must be a warmer part of the country than us. We're about to start winterising, as our overnight lows are headed down below 40F in the next couple of weeks.

We've had such a hectic year that we're too tired to think about reloading the rig for anther trip!

We may be heading to the Phoenix area if all goes well but that will be just after the New Year. I promise to wave at Frank when we go past Anacortes this time. Seems I forgot to last April.

Welcome

Hey Russel, we are new to the site as well. Had the opportunity to attend the national rally a few weeks ago, and met some great floks. A wonderful site to get questions answered and I recommend you join a regional chapter and meet new friends. Try to attend the annual rally next year.
