christening the new minnie...or me
DW and I just brought home our new 2500rl on Friday the 17th . we pulled into the driveway and loaded her up . We were so excited. We spent the next four nights camping in a local park with the regular water and electric hookups. almost everything was perfect . A little glitch here and there , but nothing terrible. We absolutely love the trailer. While I'm not a brand newbie, I still have things to learn. Our time was up , our trip was wonderful ...time to dump! I got the trailer all lined up and opened the dump station dumphole cover ( is there a name for that) got my little hoses and connectors all ready ... then opened the cover of my dump tube... OH SH... we were so caught up in how wonderful the new trailer was , that I forgot to make sure the black and gray valves were closed, so when I opened the cover I got covered in ... Sigh
Nothing like picking up turds on a brisk Tuesday morning. Lucky for me my stuff don't stink.

Or you could belong to a club that had a member dislike you and open the black valve with the cap off. Luckily I noticed it both times and closed the tbe valve befor re.oving the cap. A little messy but not as bad as it could have been.
Oh yes the member was very quickly an ex-member!

Yup... Had that happen in a standard campground, We just gotten a pull thru spot & commenced setting up.(which for our coach is to park and punch buttons like yours). Did not hook up anything except power. as we were making 600 mile days.
Didn't notice the campers next to us other than to say Hi.
Wife did notice them making snide comments about "how can you call that camping"...yada yada yada.
.Was told later that they each had spent over an hour trying to get level. And yes alcohol may have been involved
Next morning I did my walk around before breakfast..( neighbors were long gone) .and noticed that the door for our water/power/sewer bay was ajar.. looked further and found that both gray and black handles had been pulled... at least the cap was still firmly secured.
Happy Trails

Glad to have you here in the forum with us. You're gonna like it here.
Congrats on the new rig.
Make a checklist of things you need to do when setting up and breaking camp etc. You'll forget less things that way.
Happy Trails!!!
