Coming out of the shadows....

We've been lurking for too long and decided to finally introduce ourselves.

Our backstory.... We are relatively new to the RV world but I've enjoyed tent camping my entire life. Last year I finally convinced the wife to rough it one weekend and after suffering through a cold snap (26f) and way too many omg-o'clock walks to the campground bathroom, she told me in no uncertain terms that she would not be joining me again. Turns out that was the perfect ammo for suggesting we take a look at RV's and one month later we drove off in our 04 Dutch Star. Needless to say, our outings are much more enjoyable and we're taking our first long distance trip to Disney World next month with our two young boys.

I have greatly enjoyed the challenge of learning how our RV operates and what it takes to maintain the many complex systems. I have many of you to thank as I've lurked over the past year reading of your own experiences and hopefully soon I'll be able to contribute back. I can't imagine it will take long as we've begun refreshing most of the decor and components.

Btw, I have about $1000 worth of camping gear if anyone's interested. Only used once!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new rig and particularly on your astute decision to join the Newmar Family.

The DW and I just got back from visiting the Mouse and that’s a trip that never fails to please. You and the boys will love it. We first took our two back in 78.

We look forward to hearing from you down the road.
