Cummins Onan air filter housing

My generator quit working on my latest trip, so as soon as I got home I checked it out. I observed the air filter out of the housing just laying against the outer shell of the generator. I tried to reinstall it but I noticed the bracket was broken. Im working on a replacement but my question is...
How do I get the bracket inside the housing? My guess is that ive got to be able to remove the plastic shroud that covers the air filter, but how? Iwas able to take it off because it was in 2 pieces. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

At the solid end of that U-shaped bracket, isn't there a threaded hole or welded stud used to attach the air filter housing?

Hi TxPete,
Were you able to figure this out? I just discovered the bracket broken on mine - looks exactly like yours. Getting to the nuts to remove/replace looks like a bit of a challenge.

You didn't happen to keep a record of the part number for the bracket did you?
