Dare to Dream

Hello everyone, I and my little family of wanderers have recently purchased an old, and we hope, a decent RV. We studied, searched, passed on more than a few "road ready" rigs until we finally landed a 1986 Fleetwood Pace Arrow on a Chevy P30 chassis with a fairly low mileage 454 in it. The chassis is solid with no leaks or dents. The roof is tight and everything felt right when we bought her.
We knew she need some work and had budgeted for it.
So far I have replaced one of the roof ac units, the fresh water pump, did a complete tune up, changed the oil, fixed the power steering and transmission line leaks, stripped and resealed all the windows.
Next project will chasing down the wiring for the fuel sending unit and installing a laminate floor. So far I have spent about a month going over the old girl, and the more I prod and dig, the happier I am. I look forward to many memories with this old workhorse.
Sincerely,
John Talbott,
Garrison, Texas

Thanks everyone! I took the old girl out today for a test run, running a little too hot for my tastes right now. It is sitting about 210 and hits 225 on hills, not comfortable with that. I am thinking about a cooler thermostat, a radiator flush, and checking the fan clutch as well. I have two auxiliary cooling fans hardwired in and they are in working order.
I will add some pictures as I dig into the restoration project!
