Smile DP newbies from Illinois/Indiana

Hello all! We are brand new to this. My name is Cathy from Illinois. My friend Dave in Indiana just purchased his first DP. 2005 Gulfstream Cresendo. 38 ft w 3 slides. We are planning our maiden voyage next week. We hope to do lots of traveling in the south this winter. I am sure we will have lots of questions. We have been reading and learning from this site for awhile and thought it time to introduce ourselves. We are looking forward to having some fun in retirement!

Where are you going? Have you travelled in an RV before? How "new" are you? Congrats on your purchase--you will love the pusher. My wife and I just bought our first DP in May and we really do like it a lot. The ride is so comfortable. It just glides along and trucks do not push it out of their way on the highway. Have a good first trip and have fun.

We are going to Southern Illinois just 150 miles or so. How new am I? Not new to camping, had several TT in the past and parents had a small gas motorhome. Brand new to DP. I still haven't been in it when it is moving! So exciting first experience for me. Partner Dave is newer to camping, but used to driving semi's. So really brand new experience for both of us! We are very excited! Hopefully the first of many trips. Thanks again for welcome!
