Dutchman on the move

Hello All, I too will be a RV owner soon. I have been a European happy camper with a travel trailer (Hobby 495) behind a Grand Chrokee. I made a few RV trips through the USA previously, so not a complete greenhorn, or whatever "it" is called. I will pick-up an Itasca Sunflyer on May 20 in Bend,OR. Then on the road to Alaska. I will do the trip again (did it in 2003 with my late wife) and want to re-live the times. Yes, down memory lane. Visits to Family on the way. Then hopefully next year up the Dalton Highway. Therefore an older rig, one with experience. As a HAM I wil not be alone during the trip, besides all the others on the road and on the campsides. Hope to meet you there. Gerard.

Well, They told me that my new baby 1987 Sunflyer does not fly anymore.
Too many mechanical problems killed the sales.
I know it is risky to buy "on a distance" but I have great help of Brian.
He is now looking for another RV for me.

All Season RV & Marina gave me a nice helping hand and supplied me with a nice Fleedwood Tioga 24D. The trip to Alaska will procede as planned but now with a realy nice camper. Too bad that the Itasca could not make the trip, too much worries on the mechanics.
Anyway, I hope to meet and greet some of you on the road or at a site.
I have been reading a lot on this site and learned quite a lot on how to behave and ways of speaking. It is realy inspiring.
Greetings and 73's , Gerard.
