Fairly New to Forum
Hello all. I've been a member for a few months but realized that I never introduced myself. I own a small campground in New England and have for 30 years but that's not what brought me to the forum. Besides owning a campground, I have worked in the local school. This year I retired from the school and my husband and I will finally be able to get back into camping. Since we can't camp during our busy summer months, we will be traveling each winter. This year we are planning our first adventure to Florida. We have to sneak it in between camping shows but that gives us almost 2 months. It will be great fun to get back on the "camper" side of RVing as opposed to the "campground owner" side. I prefer to not mention the name of my campground because that is not the reason I'm joining this forum. I hope that is OK with everyone. Just because you own a campground you do not necessarily know everything you need to know about RVing. I have already learned lots from this forum. Thanks for sharing so much helpful information with us.

Welcome to the irv2 gang! We're glad to have you here. It is especially nice that you can jump right in the forums and share your experiences from both the camping side and from the campground owner perspective. BTW...congrats, too, on your retirement from education; I'm hoping my DW will be able to do the same soon. Enjoy your Florida planning and the trip!

Welcome to the party!!!
For 40 years the DW, family and I traveled to ME every summer. Her folks are both gone now but she still has a brother in the Dover Foxcroft area which is 40 miles north of Bangor on route 15. Is your campground located anywhere in that area?? If you don't want to put it on the forums (I understand) just send me a PM.
I went to the area back in 1966. I was stationed at Charleston AFB (10 miles south of Dover on route 15). Met the now DW in Dover. They closed the base several years ago and turned it into a minimum security prison. Heck that's what I thought it was when I was there.
