Feels Like Its Coming of Age

Call me Clark Griswold.

I'm an impulse buyer.

My wife and I went out celebrating with some new RV friends and we learned a ton of good information, for the price of dinner out and a few cocktails.

The next day, the Dealer allowed us to change our minds--after greater consideration of the challenges posed by the model we had chosen.

Anyway, I pick her up tomorrow. She's a 2015 Forest River 2850, with backup camera system and a special stabilizing hitch as well. I hope it's special. Safety for our family and others on the road is the most important thing to me.

So most of my questions will come after lots of research and practice...but it's good to know the virtual RV life seems as friendly as the real RV life.

My tow vehicle is a 2011 Escalade Luxury package. It has a plug for breaks it looks like, and maybe other stuff.

I want to keep my SUV forever, kind o' like our grandads did (I'm 49) with Cadillacs. So vehicle life extending products or practices will of interest to me.

That's it! I'll check in after the closing tomorrow

Wow, thank you all!

The RV wasn't quite ready, and frankly we had no time to take delivery due to work and other commitments. Delivery is now on the 17th. I'll post back then if not before.

Arch is right, that's where I bought her!

Didn't know you were in Yuma...that was just a random listing I saw. What a coincidence!

Southwest Drivelines in Yuma installed my toad brakes and towing assembly years ago. It's excellent for things like that.
