First RV 1993 Winnebago Minnie Winnie 24ft

I could really use some suggestions on the Purchase of a older 1993 Winnegago Minnie 24ft. Buying it from an Uncle for cheap. Its very nice inside looks new.

Outside appears faded but no damage, it was well kept with only 44k not sure if that alot. Its a Class C Ford E350.

Wanted to know if this is a decent RV or am I getting a headache. Everything I believe is functional, We will receive it in two weeks when I get back from vacation.

It is currently winterized as the owner/uncle passed. I plan on washing her down, maybe some wax if you recommend?

Any help tips etc would be great....

Take care

Doug, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to helping with your questions. Sorry to hear of your uncle passing.
The most important factor of these things is proper maintenance. It sounds like you uncle has take good care of the rig; this is good and I would not worry about anything major. If it has been a while since it was driven I would change all the fluids, possibly belt and be sure to check on the condition and age of the tires. At about 6 years from the date the tires (rectangular box wit four digits inside - first two are the week and last two are the year of manufacturing) it is time to replace, even if the tread looks good. Then giver it a bath and some polish. Take it out and get to know it and have some fun.
I am sure you will enjoy the website. If you have any more questions, start a new thread in appropriate section.

Doug;

Welcome to iRV2. I suggest you may want to post your question in the Winnebago Industries Owner's Forum. There is lots of Winnebago experience there available to you just by asking. Post often and keep us post on your motor home experiences.
