First RV Ever, What have we done.....

Hello All, we have signed on to this site as we just purchased our First RV.
2004 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 37C... 23500 miles on it and it is clean. It had one owner that no longer had use for it from what the dealer tells us.

The family consists of me, the wife and our 11 year old.... Then there are 2 German Shepherd's, a Great Pyrenees and a Aussie.......

Anyways, I always find that forums is the best place to get the info that you need and people are always willing to help out......

I have already found some info on the tires I was looking for in regards to cracks on the sidewalls.
Oh, we are also having a Satellite in motion installed, What is better, Dish or Direct TV????

Anyways, Hello from Atlanta, and hope to see you out there somewhere....

First of all, . . .

Now to more important stuff. My in-motion was easiest (cheapest) to set up with Direct TV. I had a local shop check out the dish and do a software update. The tech said the dish would work with either Dish Network or Direct TV. It had been previously set up for Direct TV so I went with Direct. It works great. My dish cannot pull in HD signals so I just ordered Direct TV with standard programing and had the dish and boxes installed in my bricks n sticks home. Now I just take the boxes out to the RV when we travel. I have a cable run to the bedroom TV, but the front Sat. box points the dish so the back TV only gets the channels on that Satellite.

I had never used an in-motion dish before, and kept the system on just to see how well it would track. My wife was able to watch TV for most of the 3 hr. trip home. The dish only lost signal when I went under a bridge or dropped in a low area. I was really pleased how well the dish was able to keep the signal, and re-acquire from a lost signal, while driving down the road.

Howdy and welcome to the forum. Our first MH was a 89 Pace Arrow which got us addicted to the lifestyle.

I have in-motion and it works great. I have direct TV and very happy with it.
