First RV purchase ever - 77 Fleetwood! Yea!
Greetings everyone.
I just bought my first RV. Its a 27' - 1977 Fleetwood RV with a blown Chevy small block 350. Has only 39K original miles and lots of upgrades. I am the third owner. Its an AZ RV, so very little rust for the age and over all its in great shape.
I do all my own work on my cars and trucks...but never owned something this size.
I am going to need some help for you all as I obviously need to get the motor out and replaced.
according to the last owner it needs a:
new furnace (he said it can not be repaired)
the "main circuit board" on the onboard generator replaced ($400), although he has supplied a secondary one that is strapped to the back.
I will post photos asap

from WA State!
Sounds like a project, with a decent foundation to start with.

Once you get it running, I have two suggestions.
First off, keep an eye on your tires. Check dates and replace them with the best tires you can get/afford. We had bilateral blowouts on tires that looked almost new. We were due to replace them later that year so had them rotated and balanced before our trip. The place that did the work seriously overinflated the tires so we now double-check even professional work. Our tire gauge gets pulled out a lot now.
If you start full timing, slow down. There's so much more to see than just the highways. We've stopped in a town for a day or two and ended up spending a month or more exploring. We've had some of our best adventures that way.
Welcome to RVing!
