From Penna with a passion

Hello, friends.
I'm VERY new to the RV scene. Very new as in, I just acquired a 1978 Southwind and have no idea what anything does.
I have a vision in my mind of traveling the US from PA to Cali next year, but haven't a single clue of how RVs work.
I have a background in petrol mechanics and some carpentry, and plan on rebuilding the decaying southwind over this summer with a friend who will be traveling with me.
Hope to learn alot and make some friends here. Looking for a lifetime of travels, and this seemed the logical place to start... sooo..
Howdy!

Welcome to the forum. Here's a link to our Vintage section which should come in handy.

You'll learn a lot in the rebuilding process. Have fun and enjoy the experience.

Slower than expected due to nasty weather regularly since the acquisition... she runs great and is in fantastic mechanical shape, but still needs a new roof (bought everything, just need a few dry days in a row) and a new interior (again, bought everything, just need the roof done.)
