Full-time hopefuls!

We are several years into travelling with a 5x12 teardrop, and have gotten to the point where we need a bigger, boondock-capable trailer.

By this August the only states the TD hasn't visited will be New England, but we are wanting to get disconnected from the need to be constantly near water, showers and power.

We are in the design phase of building an ultralight fifth-wheel, to be towed behind a diesel powered Dakota, with a back-of-napkin target of 25MPG hwy.

The primary reason for joining here is to pick the brains of compact-RV fulltimers to see what we can live without...

Glad to have you here in the forum with us.

You might want to visit the Full Timers forum. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks in there to share ideas with. It's at the top of the page under forums.

Happy Trails!!!
