Future RV owners from Vancouver, WA
Hi all, just joined up after spending a few weeks lurking and reading through the forums. My wife and I both work from home, and are looking for motorhomes or fifth wheels that will allow us to work from home anywhere on the road. We have never owned an RV, and plan to dive in head first and begin our adventures in part-time full-timing. Looks like there is a great butch of folks here with a lot of stories to share and help to offer. We look forward to becoming active members of the community.

Welcome aboard, we were at the Elks club in Vancouver for a month year before last and really enjoyed the area. This site is a great source of information as is escapees.com which we are members of. We are motorhome owners full timing for 5 years now, and are still excited about it. Type of RV is definitely a difficult choice as there are many options. One of the best sources of info is the various manufacturers forums that are out there. We have a Tiffin Allegro Bus and the tiffin owners have a forum as do most of the other manufacturers. Most of them will let you in to observe, and there is a lot of information available. Go to shows, used RV lots and sit in them like you would if you were to live in them. If you drop the soap in the shower can you pick it up without banging into the other side of it. Where are you going to store your pots and pans. How are both of you going to watch TV. Where will you spend your time when it's raining outside. Where do you keep your canned goods, towels, and where do you hang things up to dry. All of it adds up to your level of comfort going down the road. We didn't like the kitchen chairs that came with our unit so we bought two nice roll around office chairs and use them for the kitchen table and one will roll to my wife's computer desk. Everyone's needs are different, so take the time to check your rig for yours. Good luck on you're adventure, we have sure had a ball on ours. Maybe we'll meet on the road someday. Steve & Carol

Hi Joe & Annette,
I see you are from Columbus, MS. I am hanging out in Pearl for a week or so doing some inspection work. Took in the big St Patricks' Day Parade in Jackson. Quite the deal! Enjoying MS. Especially the weather.

Welcome to the fourm.
My DW and I abandon Vancouver just off of 164th, back in Sepetember.
After having three motorhomes,(25-31-34 now 40 foot) we went headlong into the full time life style, the wife is still having trouble cutting the ties with the family, but it's happening.
We are having a Meet and Greet at Seven Feathers Casino in Oregon.

Contact Lloydu in the members section and he will set you up, I have hoasted 3 of these events for iRV2 and really met some wonderful people, it's a great way to get to know and have fun with this group.

Larry and Rita - that is spooky, as we are a few blocks off 164th ourselves. Looking forward to having a way to escape for a few months at a time once we get out RV
