Hi folks,

I'm battling back pancreatic cancer and had enough of working since I think it was part of my reason for getting sick (to much stress).
Changed our lifestyle and saved enough to hit the road.
I posted on the Class A forum for advice on new motorhomes that have the layout we want more or less. It always seems to be a compromise. Just want to make the right decision and not have more stress

We have already met some wonderful people that RV full and part time so we are looking forward to it too.

Stress is part and parcel with life... with an RV, there will always be something to fix... so, learn to deal with stress in healthful ways now before you get out there on the road! Music, meditation,& motion are all good stress releases.
Laughter, Love and Looking at life differently also help. Little phrases like 'How important is it?" related to the big scheme of things, and 'one day at a time' help me concentrate on just doing what I can today and remembering to look at the big picture and not take stuff personally.

To get yourself mentally prepared you need to leave your worries and problems behind when you drive off so you can enjoy the scenery and camp sites.
Find a way to receive and pay your bills on the road (electronically), someone to take care of what you leave behind (house, lawn, animals, things in storage), a way to get Rx med's and treatment on the road.
If you can do this, your stress level will decrease and allow you to smile more.

It seems everything can be done electronically these days. We do our banking online, magazine subscriptions online, trip planning on line, mail forwarding service on line, everything except buying groceries, and even that can probably be done on line, but who would want to.

The biggest recommendation is to relax! The little repairs can be done tomorrow! You have to find time to relax. We schedule our day trips at least several days apart so we can have the "our time" that is often lacking in our working life. You are no longer "on vacation" so you do not have to rush to see it all in a couple of weeks. Take the time each day to relax. I make it a habit when I am moving from place to place to limit my driving to 4 or 5 hours so I can relax after setting up what ever has to be done.
