Glad to be a part of the community

Hello everyone! My wife and I just bought a 2000 Alpinelite Hillcrest 32RK 5th wheel and are trying to figure out how to make everything work. Any suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone has a copy of an owner's manual, I sure would appreciate getting a copy! Joe

I can't help you with an owners manual, but I can welcome you to the forum, and to an RV experience that will bring unexpected joy and the occasional headache.

Never having owned a filth wheel trailer, my comments are generic for the first timer, regardless of rig.

Take your time. There is no fun after a 6 to 10 hour drive, hoping to make time to a destination and than having to set up your campsite in the dark while you try to make something for dinner. And then you've missed out on the opportunity to talk with the interesting people in the campsite who were hanging out in the late afternoon while they mellowed out after a reasonable day's drive.

Explore the local scene. Ask the campsite staff what's happening in the area. Talk with your fellow campers. Get up early. I've fond that wandering around the campground early in the morning bumps me into people who have tales to tell about where to go and what to see rather than sleeping in for most of the morning. These are people to talk to!

Go to the visitor's center and pick the brains of the people there. You may find mermaids in Montana, huge metal sculptures in North Dakota, impossible landscapes on mining roads, and tent rock formations in state parks not found in AAA “GEM” listings.

Sorry I don't have specific advice, other than to say – “Welcome to the time of your life!” Go for it.

Welcome to iRV2 .

The original owners manual for your 5er might not be any use as actual info was often lacking .
Individual appliances manuals can be obtained from the appliance manufacturer or from this site .

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on the new rig. You will have a hard time finding basically useless manuals for your rig. Rather look for information on the various systems you are working on. Google will be come a good friend as well as U-tube and of course info you can get by asking questions here.

You are joining a good group of friends here with good information to share. Read the various threads here and ask questions as they come up or add information if you can.

Good luck and enjoy the adventure!

Welcome to the group from Mayport, Fl., for now.
If any questions post them in the 5th wheel section for more individuals to see the questions. You may have a better chance of getting answers there.
