Going to be my first RV.
Hello, I'm Steve and while I'm not totally new to this lifestyle I have no experience when it comes to RV's. Like others I started camping out in a tent and moved up to a popup then to a 32 ft 5th wheel which I used for ten years, life got a little busy and I had to give it up and never really had the means to get back into it.
Well that's changed, my father recently passed away and wanted me to have his RV, It's a 1990 Itasca Suncruiser 27 foot and needs a little attention as it hasn't been used for a couple years so I will have plenty of questions mostly on what I need to do to get it going so I'm off to post in the correct sections...

Do all of the obvious. Change oil and filter, change antifreeze, change air filter, check hoses and belts and replace any that are dried out or look suspicious, check date code on tires and replace if 7 years or more old. And of course pressurize water system and check for leaks and hot water heater operation. Check fridge and furnace operation. Check lights, turn signals. Crawl around underneath and inspect brake lines and anything else you can see, replace whatever looks suspicious. If it is on an f53 chassis do the cheap handling fix you can find on this website. The list goes on, but this will get you started.
Happy travels.

Welcome Steve. This is a great sight. Even though I to have RV'd for many years I have just recently joined this sight and learned many useful nuggets of information.
Enjoy the RV and hope you make many happy memories with it!!
