Goldilocks

My name is Mike and I've got a Goldilocks problem.

I started Rving in a diesel pusher years ago. It was too big.

Moved to a class C and it caused too many conversations about who would crawl over who, so too small.

Moved to a travel trailer and it was tooo small.

I'm now restarting the process and am actively looking for another diesel pusher.

Mike and occasionally Lisa will be here soaking up the ambiance as we try to break out of our Goldilocks problerm to rv.

Mike;

We are glad you joined us. I enjoyed reading your introduction. I caused me to reflect on my introduction to RVing. MY DW has claustrophobia and I always had to trade for a bigger RV because what we had was to small. We ended up with a 40' DP and when due to our age the big rig was too large for us to maintain. She asked me to sell it as she would not be happy with anything smaller. So I relate to your decision to go back to a a DP.

There is a wealth of RV info available to you here just by asking. Browse the forums that interest you and don't be afraid to ask questions as our members like to help when they can. Post often and share your RV adventures with us. Enjoy the forums.

RVs are like boats. No one size or type fits all. You need to figure out for yourself what is best for you. That takes research starting with how you want to use it & where you want to go.

If you are a FHU resort don't move much type of person size does not matter much. The private CGs will fit anything in. If you are a state park, county park type of person then size matters. If you are a dry camper or like to do things like the Oskosh Air Show, Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, bluegrass festivals, Quartsite, or any other special interest gatherings the ability to dry camp is important & top priority is water capacity.

Research stops you from buying mistakes & saves alot of money.

Finding the right size RV can be a daunting process. Too many trade offs. I would suggest spending time in them at the dealers to see how they feel. Salesmen may not like it but they're not the ones buying it.

We have met a number of people in the same situation. They are selling to lower their work load.

We've been kicking tires. I've kicked so many recently, the doctor said, "I've developed tire toe".

Daunting is the correct term. It is interesting to me, that some RV's are happy and I could while away an afternoon; while others are so not happy that I cannot wait to get out.
