Greetings
Just purchased our first RV, after much looking and with help of this site. We tent camped when our family was young, back in the last century, but now am ready to see America in a way more appropriate (comfortable) for a couple of 60 year-olds.
Our 2003 Itasca Sunrise 32v is in very good condition with 31K miles on the Ford chassis. It was sold on commission by a local dealer and included making all needed repairs (new windshield, batteries, awnings, tires, routine maintenance and trip ready services). The contract stipulates that everything works as it should. Their RV tech will also provide a 4 hour operating tutorial.
In addition to making a short camping run, we will be interested in learning about what to do next in preparing for a multi-month trip covering a large portion of the country. Thanks in advance for all your assistance in this regard.

Welcome to the site. Good luck with your new purchase. Sounds like your ready to enjoy the lifestyle. Short trips are great to find out what to expect. You'll always have issues new or old, but how you resolve them and in what mind set you solve them is what counts. It's the memories you get that is the important thing. Looking back in the coming years you'll understand what I'm saying. Enjoy yourself and make the most of whatever happens. Safe, trouble free travels. Good luck.

I've heard of people camping in there drives way for a couple of days. Then you don't have to go far to go to get your stuff you didn't think about.
