Hello and thank you for letting me join your forums. As my nickname suggests I am a Gen X and a big nerd. I do not have an RV yet. But my wife and I are in the planning stages. I am hoping to learn a lot from all of you.
We are getting on in years and one passion, one thing I have always wanted to do since I was a kid was live the RV life. So our plan is to get an RV just before retirement or after retirement and finally see the US. We are at the stage of saving money. And it dawned on me today, I need to join an RV forum. I still can't believe it took me this long to figure it out.
Since 2019 I have been keeping two journals. One for purchasing an RV and one for after purchasing one. So I hope to add a lot more pages to both here.
One thing I have absolutely loved about the RV community is just how approachable and friendly it is. I have never had an issue when asking questions and even been given tours of people's RVs without even asking.
When I was a young kid, family friends took me on a camping trip in their pop-up. At the campsite next to us an older couple had a Class A. And they let me tour it. It was like walking into heaven in my opinion. Since then I have been fascinated. But never been able to act on it until now.
So thank you all again. Hope to ask a ton of questions and learn a lot.
