The Tennessee River system is truly a treasure for those living in the area or coming in to camp. It is truly the premier inland cruising river in the U.S. as it's navigable for 650 miles from Paducah to Knoxville. And it gets more beautiful the farther you go east. State parks and TVA camping areas are numerous, and they're of high quality, too.

Bennington Tri-toon here also. 2011 with 150hp Yamaha. Shhh don't tell anyone about the SE, TN River etc..... move along, nothing happening here folks. Iowa and Nebraska are beautiful this time of year.

We're getting ready to do some river cruising. Last August, we ran 125 miles going to Pickwick Dam and back to Florence. This year, we're going to trailer to Chattanooga and come back to Muscle Shoals by water--200 miles. We intend to spend the night in either the Hampton Inn or the Windham Inn at Guntersville, as they both have boat docks.

Next long trip will be from Knoxville to Chattanooga.

Being retired, we camp weekdays in North GA mountains and boat out of our lake house on weekends.
