Greetings from Oklahoma

Hi all,
Just signed up here. I've been renting travel trailers from the Air Force for many years, but it became time to own one. Wife and I found a 2000 Newmar diesel Mountain Aire 3763 in really good condition. We've been looking at lots of units and this one came up in Nebraska.

Lurking on this forum helped with choosing the motor home. Reading about pros and cons of diesel vs. gas, what to look for in a used unit, etc. I was pleasantly surprised at the power and lack of engine noise. If I'm not using cruise control and not paying attention to speed, I find myself doing 75 in short order. On the trip home from buying, I got about 8.8 mpg keeping it around 65, towing an Odyssey. Another pleasant surprise.

Hope to be doing some more perusing looking for ways to haul a toad and a big bike, AVSatellite/Internet setups and the usual stuff.

Thanks for being here!

Thanks all! Previous owner said he got over 8 mpg pretty consistently. This was across NE, KS, and OK, (in other words, FLAT) so I'm pretty happy about it.
