Greetings from overseas
Hello all, my name is Petri and we are living in China/Shanghai at the moment. Have been travelling some here by RV and it is like the final frontier of the RV'ing. That makes it also interesting with some challenges . During my 11 years in China have seen only 2 RV's on the road, amazing but true. Having the idea of going to USA/Canada for renting and travelling and was looking for a good forum for ideas and suggestions. Unfortunately as the world seems now travelling is a little bit on hold.

Greetings from overseas
Also to be mentioned when things calm down if anyone have interest of RV'ing in China we can try to help with questions. As couple of years ago it have been made easy for tourist to get Chinese driving license as the only driving license that is approved in China is the local one. We are not a travel agency but gladly help follow travellers

Welcome aboard!
Are there many RV parks near you?
I went on Google Maps and it showed a couple RV parks near Shanghai but the satellite picture didn't show any RV's nor a campground.

Welcome to the forum.
You are joining a good group of folks here with good information to share. Read the various threads here and ask questions as they come up or add information if you can. You should be able to get the info you are looking for. An extended trip through the US could be a great adventure.
Good luck and enjoy the adventure!

There is not so many parks in whole China. Estimate might be 500 only in total. Google is banned here and might have outdated information. http://www.campave.com/list-90-1.html here is a Chinese link for some camp grounds but i can see that not all the parks are there. I have checked two parks in Shanghai for example and they are ok. Travelling in China by RV might be some of challenge as it is still rising "hobby" and that is making it interesting.
