Greetings from Tennessee

Good afternoon,
We are Becky and Doug Pinkston, We are relatively new to the RV world but decided to dive into the deep end of the pool. We purchased a "gently" used 2000 Fleetwood Bounder "Freightliner" 40 ft "39C" Class A. In for a penny in for a pound.
We started out with a few local trips to get used to the idea of driving a house and then headed south to our beach property in North Carolina. Roughly 400 miles.

We are currently on the return leg of a month long run from Tn to NM to NV and back to TN. Needless to say with the age of our rig the trip has not been without it's mechanical problems but we are on the road and stopping nightly at some very nice campgrounds. We have seen some awesome sites this trip and subtracted a fair amount from our nest egg in the process. Would not change a thing.

We look forward to learning from all of you and maybe at some point contributing to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome so far.

Doug and Becky

Thank you. We are perfecting our bounder through the trial, break, and fix method. Expensive lessons but we are learning fast and absolutely love the new friends we are making.

Back in the mid 70's we lived in Kentucky just over the state line near Kingsport. TN. Kingsport was the closest shopping area to us so every once in a while we would drive over the Black Mountain to go shopping. It was a all day trip back then. ........Thinking about it, anytime I go shopping with my wife it turns out to be a all day trip!

I earned my engineering degree at Tennessee Tech.

I moved to the tri-cities area in 2008 from Texas. Educated in New Mexico “NMSU” and Missouri “Park”. My wife is a South Carolina gal but we both have fallen in love with the Volunteer state.
