Hi to all, I'm new to this. Id like to know how to be able to find the studs in the coach bedroom to hang the flat screen TV. 1996 Minnie Winnie 29, any suggestions?

Rickymon59,

Try a stud finder or tap along the wall with your hammer and listen for a change. When it sounds solid you have found the stud. If you want to be sure nail a small pilot nail and see if it hits the stud. Do this process again and measuring the distance between the two spots will tell you how far apart the studs are in the wall which will enable you to find the next one and so on.

Do you have an existing TV cabnet? If so what I did was put in a piece of 1x6 behind the cabnet and attached the mount through the cabnet side and into the 1x6. It's holding a 19" TV. In the front I took a cabnet door off and cut and stained a piece of nice board to match the cabnet and attached it using the hardware from the old cabnet door and then attached it with the wall mount. If you don't have that ability then try and find a stud. It shouldn't be hard because the walls aren't that thick.

Stud Finder. Dont get the magnetic ones they dont work very well in an RV. I am not familiar with your RV but you may also need to get creative with the fastener. Guide Here

I hope awarnes idea works because it will save you some money and time!

This is how we did our 26" LED in the bedroom. It is where the old 300#er used to be and now we have a new storage cabinet.

Thanks to all. I will try a stud finder first, unfortunately there is no cabinet, just a wall at the foot of our bed above the window. There is a very small existing shelf in the corner that accomidated the old small TV which is where I will now have the DVD player.

If Winnebago builds their Class C's Like they do their Class A's they use aluminum studs in the walls and roof.

if you call Winne they will send you a pdf file with drawings showing where the studs are.
