Happy Friday Morning
I just painfully sold our Glendale Titanium, loved that 5th Wheel! Thought I would join this group hoping someone out there could help point me in the right direction to find a wheelchair accessible RV. My husband and I had a dream to start traveling, bought the 5th wheel and then shortly after he had a massive stroke. I would like to find a reliable, not new, well cared for RV so we could continue our dream. He is 100% disabled Veteran so I was planning on going to the military RV sites across the US. If anyone knows of anyone who has something theater will work, please let me know.

Sorry to hear of your Hubbys condition. I would think that a travel trailer might give you better access. As for access I had seen a posting about portable stairs that can be put together for easier access into a tt. Although its still stairs. They are much sturdier/wider and easier to get up. Were you looking for a ramp system rather than stairs? Here is a link might be of some help http://www.handicappedtravelclub.com/htc-info.php

Glad you're aboard. Sorry for your DH's medical issues. Please tell him I said for his service.
When I was at the Mpls RV Show last year I actually looked through, I believe, a Newmar (not sure which model) that had a wheel chair lift and all the necessary accommodations for ADA compliance. Possibly a call to them might offer some model info on previous year's models that would assist in your search. Hope that helps.
Best of luck in your search. Enjoy your adventures and be safe.

Welcome to the Forum and I wish I knew of someone wanting to sell a handicap accessible RV. You could email a bunch of dealers in your area and see if they have something available. Best of luck.

Thank you for all the great replays. Such a great idea on emailing local RV dealers. I will need a lift as he is in a wheel chair and unable to walk. Sadly lost entire right hemisphere of his brain. I am keeping a positive attitude that we still have life to live traveling and meeting great people like you all.
Thanks again. Happy travels.
