Happy to be here- lots to learn!

Well, this is me. Sixty year old (almost) very independent lady who plans to sell her house in two years or less and take off with a fifth wheel (with Jack Russell and African gray Parrot) Love writing, photography, spontaneous adventures, and sometimes sitting around doing nothing. Can't wait to take off-

I have lots of questions, and enjoy reading all the threads on here, but wonder if I can start with the biggest one first. Please let me know if I should post this question somewhere else.

I am selling my F150 (2014) next year for a F350 diesal. I think I'll end up with too much truck for what I want, but I'd rather do that just in case I ever want to trade up.
I am overwhelmed with the choices in fifth wheels. I've also read some horror stories about certain models. I finally found one I like very much, it's a
Cruiser Aire, 28 foot. It's perfect for just me and my animals.
I live in New Hampshire, so want to purchase in state (no tax)
How can I find out if this is a good quality trailer? The sales men of course are going to sell me what they have, but I'm a smart lady and want to use this time to learn all I can.
any suggestions? Can I purchase directly from the factory? The dealers here are Camping World, and the service stories I"m reading on line are scaring me.
thanks so much
