Hello
Hi,
We are new to the site but not new to RVing. We currently currently have a 34ft toy hauler but we are in the market for a DP.

We have looked high and low for a DP.
We went to Hershey last year and looked at Winnebago, Tiffin, Monaco and chassis manufacturers. We stopped by a Newmar dealer and looked at the Mountain Aire and a Dutch Star; we like the Dutch Star and the build quality of Newmar. I wanted to see a Vantana but there was not one there. We have researched the Entegra Coach online as we didn't see one in Hershey and we ran out of time when we were there. We looked for an Entegra but there was not one near by to look at. We only were able to read online and look at pictures. Then, while searching online, we saw RVone had an Aspire onsite. We looked at the Aspire 42RBQ and fell in love with it. (that may be our next coach)
One thing we learned from Hershey is pick the engine/tranny first, then the coach. We were looking at 36 - 40 ft coaches and the engine/tranny combo in some seemed to be under sized; meaning the MH2500 transmission. Now, I'm not an expert but what I got was the conversation and reading post here for a while is I may be over weight or at the limit of what I might carry or tow so we change our search to 42 tag with 400 plus HP and MH3000 tranny.
What are your thoughts. Bigger is better (for me) and the way we plan to use it.

Welcome and glad to meet you!
The tags should have at least an Alison 3000 behind a 400 HP or greater. This will give you the torque you need to pull a toad on grade.

Finally!!!!!
I didn't want to say anything as I wanted to wait till we got an approval and today........ we got the approval. The paperwork will be signed this week (i guess there is still time for Murphy). Quick, sign. They are doing an RV prep, check, clean and buff. We are working on our schedule for delivery next week.
Our rig is a 2014 Entegra Coach Aspire 42RBQ. More details and pictures to come.
