Been reading forums and seen much needed advice. Looking to purchase a 5th Wheel in the very near future.

I have a 2018 2500 Chevy gas. Says max tow in 14000 pounds for 5th wheel. 5th wheel we are looking at has dry weight of 12000 pounds and GVWR of 15000. Even tho we could stay below 14000 pounds gvwr is that to much weight for this truck? The salesman said no problem but have my doubts. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't buy that much 5er for that truck. It would be fine on level roads but it would be really hard on the tranny pulling it in the mountains. You really need a 3/4 ton diesel truck. JMHO
