Hello All
Hello All,
I'm in the beginning stages of learning about class A RVs and I believe that this site is a great way to immerse myself with information. My family likes to tent camp, but here in Florida, it's really only a two season thing, since it's damn hot in the summer and damn cold in the winter (relatively speaking). So we thought that a travel trailer would be a way to camp year round, but after looking and realizing that we needed a bigger truck for the trailer we wanted etc,,,we decided a class A may be a better fit.
I am concerned about the reliability of systems, slide outs, levelers and all the electronic gadgets that will likely cause me grief at some point. Currently, I am looking for a good reliable brand and learning about how everything works. I really hate to Re-buy anything, so the longer I stay in research and saving mode, I hope to be in a place to buy something that will be the right choice, first time up to the plate ( I'm not sure how realistic that sounds)...
WE plan to use the RV for many adventures that will be short until retirement in 5 years, 10 months and 12 days(but who's counting?) and then have a semi year traveling around. We've never vacationed beyond Tennessee in the US, so I'd like to see the rest of this beautiful country!
Thanks in advance to the people who help us new people out. I am a member of other hobby forums, and I realize the value of everyone's experiences and knowledge they bring to forums. So thanks! Pete

Pete;
Welcome to iRV2. I believe you have joined the friendliest RV site on the Internet. Browse the forums that interest you and don't be afraid to ask questions as our members like to help when they can. Good luck with your search. Just remember there is no perfect RV IMHO. Anything mechanical will need repairs from time to time.
Don

Good luck with your search ....
The key IMO is general/annual maintenance ... take good care for those systems ... they'll take care of you ....

Thank you all for the warm welcome! This is a great site. My wife and I are going to walk a large RV lot on Saturday for the first real look at the brands, options and floor plans. Yea!
