After reading some of the forums I knew I had to join because it can be a win win situation for me and maybe a RVer that needs a hand.
I am 48 yrs old and been camping as long as I can remember (cross country 4 times before the age of 13). I have been repairing vehicles professionally for 33 yrs. Originally started as a mechanic for Chevrolet then went into collision repair aspect cause the dollars were better but always maintained mechanical repair on the side. I have fabrication experience and facilities right at the house, as well as all the tools to do repairs here.
My parents who have been full timers for a while now use our home and 4 acres as their "home", which I love. So I have set up with 30 amp RV outlets, cable TV and a seperate phone line for calls and internet etc. But it has been used by transients and friends that stop in for repairs and wish to remain with their "home".
Married 17 yrs, two boys, one DUMB yellow lab (2.5 yrs) 4 boats,(1 28ft. pontoon, 19 ft Mariah, and two kawasaki jet skiis.)
More later. Hope to help.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I hope to be of help as well as learn something! But most of all I would really enjoy meeting fellow campers as they travel through the area or if I should be out on the road with my family. I live 10 minutes from the Farm Show Building in Harrisburg (where one of the largest RV shows on the East Coast is held) and welcome anyone in the area to contact me if they are ever in the area. I have ample room for a rig to pull in and turn around or stop by in you toad if you're already settled in.
To Texas Boomer....My wife has collected enough flamingos for me to start some sort of bird sanctuary.
Again thanks for the warm welcome and I will check in daily.
Mike
