Hello Friend
Well, we did it. I've been lurking for a while gaining knowledge in preparation for our 5th wheeling adventures, but finally pulled the trigger. I've never had any sort of RV before, but grew up tent camping. My dw's memories of camping are far from fond, but we agreed that a trailer would be a good compromise. We just put a deposit down on a Grand Design Reflection 323BHS and will pick it up Feb 27. To say that I am excited is a gross understatement. I can't wait to show my kids how beautiful North America is!

Welcome to the forum Boomer and family. Sounds like you are going to get a fantastic rig and we can fully understand your excitement.
My bet is that you have been looking at all the items you will need to go along with it and smiling like a goon every time you think about it.
You have a great time. I think your wife will enjoy this much more than tent camping. I had fond memories of tent camping but really love our Class A. Nothing better than a bed, fridge, and couch with older bones.

Why did I wait so long
I just joined and feel that I wasted a lot of years getting a RV and sitting around. My name is Doug, and I picked up a 2014 25' Fleetwood Jamboree in July. Just a basic unit, might have been a rental as it had 19000 miles out of Nevada. I live in Lake Placid, Fla, and bought it in Okeechobee, Fla. I did an upgrade on a Bluetooth radio for hands free speaking and music streaming. LED light install. Already learned not to leave awning down, as we had it open on property during rain squall. Ripped the arms right off so that is a repair I tried to do myself, but figure I will leave it for spring at some dealer yet to be determined as I have a lack of trust on local yokels. I grew up in Chicago, 6 years in Marines, Vietnam for16 months. Years later that hit me hard. I took a trip across country to OREGON in converted 1986 Chevy Van to Eugene, Ore with my dog, Ringo, stopping at all sites going to visit brother in Eugene, Or. Followed Indian historical sites back after 3 months. In Oct my stepson Austin graduated from Navy boot camp at Great Lakes, I'll. and we drove up staying at Military bases and on Great Lakes. I am 100% and my wife Karen is DOD retiree. Looking forward to communicating and using forums. Today is coach battery inspection day. Still learning all nuances of this rig. See y'all on the road. Gotta feed the dogs.
