Hello from Alaska

Hi All! While I am new to this forum, am not new to RV'ing. We bought our first Class C, a 27 ft basic model in 1987 and have never looked back. We went from the 27' to a 29' Class C and then to a 31' Class C before ending up with our current one. It is a 38' 2003 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. Most of our camping trips are weekend fourwheeling trips with two weeks for hunting season in Sept. For the last several years we make a trip to the 'lower 48' about everyother year. It takes us two years to save up enough cash to pay for that trip. Being that the wife is not retired yet, our trips outside are generally only about four weeks long. Even in that short time we still put on about 6600 miles. We hope to be able to spend more time on the road after the wife retires. Until then we will just have to be content with our short ones. We also travel with our two labs, Reka 9 years old and Ali 2 years old. While traveling with them can be a challange, they are fun to travel with. I would not trade them for the world.
Looking forward to learning more from those that spend more time with their RV's then we do. No matter how long someone has been doing something, there is always more to learn.

Welcome to the forum, we just love Alaska, I've been there twice. Hope to make the trip with my current coach but the gas prices don't seem to be helping. Safe travels.

Hello R2Home! Welcome to IRV2. One of these days, we will have enough money to travel to Alaska. For right now just have to take every ones word that it is a beautiful state. Enjoy your HR. We went from 31' class C to 2004 HR Vacationer. We love it. Keep us posted when you can make it to the lower 48 again. Safe travels.
