Hello from Cleveland...
Been RVing and reading the forums for awhile now and have learned quite a bit from the members, and lots of trial and error!
Through the years I've had a few combinations of rigs and tow vehicles and feel I may have a bit to offer to others.
I started out with a tent and some plastic bins of gear. from there the progression was gradual...
1983 Pop-up pulled by '99 Ford Ranger (4.0L V-6, auto)
1983 Pop-up pulled by '00 Ford Expedition (5.4L, auto)
1994 Pop-up pulled by a '11 Jeep Patriot (2.4L 4 cylinder, 5 speed stick)
1994 Pop-up pulled by a '15 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (3.6L V-6, auto)
2017 17' Hybrid pulled by '15 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (3.6L V-6, auto)
2017 17' Hybrid pulled by '15 RAM 1500 (5.7L Hemi, 8spd Auto)
2019 30' Travel Trailer Pulled by '15 RAM 1500 (5.7L Hemi, 8spd Auto)
2019 30' Travel Trailer pulled by '18 RAM 2500 (6.7L CTD)
...Through these combinations, some "more within the limits, both stated and comfort" than others, I've learned what works for me and what doesn't. Each upgrade, while enhancing a part of my RVing experience, also created some new challenges and complications.
I look forward to continuing to learn and starting to contribute a bit back to the group.
Happy Camping!
Marc
