Charliene,
You will find a bunch of friendly people on this forum. Many are full of "answers" (did I say that correctly, hmmm!) So any questions you have, we know it all.
Do look into the Texas Boomers. A great group of people that know how to have fun.
Yes, it's good.

Thanks for the welcome
 Hello to all,
Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I haven't posted a lot but try to check in daily.
Sdennislee, I was in Anchorage a few years back. Beautiful places to see! The dogs with clear blue eyes were the most memorable animals I saw. I enjoyed Canada as well. If you will be coming to coastal Texas, drop me an email.
As for all you nice folks I've been hearing from that live near by, we should all have a Meet Up and get to know each other. I've been considering getting a "Trail Ride" of motorhomes (etc.) and going to Louisiana for some Cajun dancing, maybe even some Zydeco. Maybe some boot-scooting around Texas would be bon (good) too. I don't have any boots but have plenty of high-heel dancing shoes. Every seen a lady that lives in Texas who doesn't own a pair of boots?
Again, thanks to all of you for your welcomes.

My DW doesn't own a pair of boots, and she's a native Texan. Shame on her!

That makes me feel better Wayne. Thanks beau coups.
Actually I think I might have told a fib (??). I DO have a pair of boots, but they are white and made of rubber (you know the " back bay Reeboks" kind we wear around here)..... they are not exactly boot-scooting boots. I don't think they will even slide!
You gonna have to send me back to school Wayne, I don't know what DW is other than Dear Wife.
OH! Have you ever heard the song about the Texas City Dike and Brown & Root? A local Whip Dance instructor gave each of the class members a CD so we could practice at home. That song was on that CD. Fantastic music but funny song. Guess you have to live here to understand. It's cute. I don't get any dance practice in because I'm too busy laughing.

You are correct. DW stands for Dear Wife, but of course, other words could be substituted for the "D."
We can all go for lunch one day and she can lie about me.

Dear Wayne
Oh me oh my! Look out! You've gone and done it now! I hope you don't want to take a nap or sleep anytime soon. I'd love to have lunch with you and your DW. The thing is, I don't know when she will turn you loose. You said she was a home grown Texas born and breed lady. All Texans have a whip and lasso in the barn or thrown around in the kitchen or bedroom somewhere. If you get tired and have to sleep, she will have you lassoed to the bedpost and you'll wake up to the worst horse whup'n you ever had. Then she will take your computer away. When you get horse whupped, and don't have a computer, you have to go out and buy cable TV. When you go out and buy cable TV, you want to do some horse whup'n and lassoing of you'n own! Then we all have to buy cable TV to make you happy knowing you have friends. When you have friends, you feel better and want to go eat lunch with them. ....... If I were you, I'd get right in there and start saying "Yes mam. Yes dear. Anything I can do for you darling" ......so we don't have to all get cable TV and can have lunch without you bleeding all over everywhere!!!
She might even come after me! Then I'd have to get my fishing light out and heat it up. I'd have to put on my white boots and drag out my flounder gig. Then all my neighbors will wonder what is happening and call the sheriff. When the sheriff gets burned with my fishing light he will throw me in jail. When I get thrown in jail I'll want to watch cable TV. So I start to scream because I'm bored. When the sheriff comes to investigate, I'm frustrated and his foot gets jabbed with my flounder gig. He wants to know what a nice lady like me is doing wearing those back bay reeboks anyway. Your DW has to go home without her revenge and it's all because you said she tells lies on you. ....... Just start saying yes mam right now or neither of us might not live to tell the rest of the story!

Charliene,
I already say, "Yes Dear!" It is my way of ignoring everything.
All the whipping though sounds like fun.
What is it with you Texas Gals that like to fish so much.
Were you BOI?
No cable, satellite yes.

BOI?
No Wayne, I'm not lesbian. Some ladies just like to fish!
Next time I'll leave my back bay reeboks at home.
Oh! I live in Texas but I'm a Louisiana lady. My body looks French, my tongue is Cajun, my heart is Creole and I live in Texas. Go figure.....
