^^^ Charlene - you might point out to Wayne that the ocean side doesn't stretch to Galveston, but the bay side of the Gulf does. No wait - me thinks I just told him. He's spent a few days in California and already talking oceans. Next he'll be saying you guys. BTW - Welcome.

Hi Wayne - remember what I told ya. When surfing Huntington Beach going left the pier is hard. Wear your helmet.

Hi Flaggship1,

You know you are correct about the bayside! . Pleased to meet you.

Wayne is in CA? He certainly will be acting strange when he returns. All those dark tanned beautiful slim blonds out in LA. He will have to watch out though, some are rrrrreally tall and have this lump in their throat..... but they ARE truly beautiful. .

Worked at Long Beach Arco for 6 years. Huntington Beach is a nice area. He may not see any tall pretty women in HB.

Nice job with the multiple quotes!! Temps have below average since Saturday - isn't that when you crossed into New Mexico?

Have a ball Wayne. Best to Earleen!

(Corrected your spelling of name. Don't want you to get in trouble)

Galveston Bay RV Park & Resort has come a long way in the last several years. It has been under new ownership a few times. I did not know they had a swimmin' hole. There rates have also droped below $500 which is nice. Considering that, it is a good place to drop the jacks for a while.

If you do, you are about 8 miles from my house, which is always open to visitors. Just friendly Texas hospitality. Coffee is on me - at least one cup anyhow.

Happy trails.

p.s., there are many other RV places in the area and RV Park Reviews is a good place to get information on them.

Eagle Point Fishing Camp

About 6 miles from me.

Two really good seafood restaurants in San Leon;If fishing is all you want to do at the campground, I thought of another place to consider; Eagle Point Fishing Camp. We don't have a lot of tourist and are strictly a fishing little town locally. But we do have other entertainment near. The site wouldn't allow me to copy pictures but I will be glad to go down and take pictures and send them along to you guys. I'm only about 3 miles from Eagle Point. Will also be glad to provide distances to Bacliff, Walmart, Kemah & the Boardwalk, Texas City, Galveston and from the I45 Freeway. I don't currently have those stats.

Like Wayne, I normally have the coffee pot on. I even keep it cold in the fridge for iced coffee protein shakes. Probably unlike Wayne though, my coffee has chicory in it.

Charter Fishing & RV Camp:
  • Eagle Point Fishing Camp - 101 1st Street, San Leon, TX 77539-2427 - PH - (281) 339-1131 - Fishing Camp | San Leon, TX and you will find many pictures on Facebook.

Since 1932, Eagle Point Fishing Camp has been providing anglers statewide with the perfect place to drop a line.
  • Click this link to see camp site: http://www.cookfamilyhome.com/fulpho...1/dscn1132.jpg
  • Located in San Leon, Eagle Point Fishing Camp is the oldest and most complete fishing camp and marina in Texas. We are located in the heart of Galveston Bay and are surrounded by water on three sides. In addition, we are the only fishing camp in the area that features both a boat launch and on-site gasoline—Eagle Point Fishing Camp is truly one of a kind.
  • RV camping - $35.00 nightly (weekly available)
  • Concrete Pad
  • 50-Amp, 220-Volt Power Source
  • Water & Sewer Hookups
  • Wireless Internet
  • Inshore Charter captains: (trips normally 6:AM - 1:PM)
  • Capt. Dave - 281-844-6594
  • Capt. Jimmy - 713-875-8302
  • Capt. Kurt - 281-684-5414
