Hello from Kansas City, MO!
Hi everyone!
My name is Rhonda and my hubby's name is Pat. After borrowing the in-law's '34 MH here and there for the last 15 years, we decided to pick up one for ourselves. We couldn't afford new, so we searched and drove near and far looking for the right fit for us. We found a one owner 1988 Holiday Rambler that seemed to be waiting just for us! The 454 runs great and has been well taken care of, roof/ceiling is DRY even with all the heavy rains we've had lately...with NO signs of prior leakage or we would have walked away. She's in the shop right now getting checked out, as she had been sitting for 10 years! We know... could be good, could be bad...but we took the gamble because we felt she has "good bones" and are anxiously waiting to hear how she is. The genny has 58 hours, as they plugged in when they had her out. Water heater may be an issue, but we'll see... The exterior is in really good shape, with front end sun fading as the big issue. She even came with a bra that was new in the package! *giggles* So we HAD to put it on!
The interior is in excellent condition and the original owner's manual is neatly in the glove box! (It ironically doesn't tell you WHERE anything is, but explains how to use the appliances!) The pull down bunk above the driver/passenger seat had never been used and still has the HRC factory plastic on it! She sleeps 5, and we are debating on removing the bunk to mount a folding bracket style TV in the ceiling in it's place...
We are planning several updates when we get her back home (New tires, removing the carpet and installing Allure flooring, new window treatments, kitchen and bathroom back-splash updates, recovering the jackknife sofa, installing an LED TV *has none at present time, and has never even had one* etc.)
We are so glad to have found this forum and look forward to making new friends, learning how-to on our projects and sharing our process with people who won't be bored silly because they aren't "RV people!" LOL!

Congratulations! I've owned two Holiday Ramblers and they are GREAT motorhomes. I'm sure it'll be great.

Welcome and congrats on your purchase. We lived in Lake Waukomis and really enjoyed our years in the Kansas City area. I really miss the burnt ends. World class BBQ and City.
