Hello from Michigan

New member here. Been lurking for a while just reading the posts. Been RVing for a couple of decades now and really enjoy it. We currently own a Keystone Cougar XLite 29BHQ towed with a 2010 Ford F250 6.4 Powerstroke. Hope to add what I can and learn from others on the site.

Though I am stuck in S.E. Ga for the moment.. I dearly wish to get back to Michigan. Assorted reasons including Michigan is home.

I cover most of the i-94 corrorder,, Currently registered in Watervilet (West side) lived about half my life in Detroit, and the other half near Battle Creek.. (NOTE I am not telling you exactly where I'm at)

What part of MI do you live in?.. I mean to tell the truth Michigan has only two great parts where one can live,, With a big Bridge connecting them (Upper and lower MI in case anyone did not get the joke).

Thanks for the warm welcome. I live in southeast Michigan about 50 miles north of Detroit. Michigan has a great network of both state and private campgrounds. We really love visiting the state parks and seeing all they have to offer. We lived in Florida for several years and they just didn't have the same appeal. Plus we don't have to worry about gators and snakes here in the great white north.

Hi there, noob from Michigan here too (Harbor Springs/Petoskey area). I absolutely adore the Michigan State Parks. They are simply amazing and beautiful. Now I have to disagree slightly about not worrying about gators in Michigan - sometimes the mosquitoes are nearly the size of gators!!

As for snakes.. Well my commont there would be political so I'll not make it.

I agree. Our state bird, the mosquito, certainly rivals the gator in terms of appetite. On another note, you live in one of our favorite areas to visit. We love the entire "Tip o' the Mitt" and especially the Harbor Springs/Petoskey/Traverse area. Mancelona and Lakes of the North are other favorite destinations.
