Smile Hello from Michigan

We just started camping last year in our popup. I grew up camping, dh camped at Holiday Inns & was very resistant. Now...he is in LOVE and can't wait to book up every spare moment camping this summer. We feel very fortunate to live in the beautiful state of MI where there is so much to do in the summer.
We have a 3yo daughter and an almost 5yo daughter. I run a home daycare & my hubby is in law enforcement. We are starting our camping season June 11th - 1 month exactly from today - I closed the daycare on Friday to give us some extra time. We are camping with friends late in June and going to where I grew up in the Upper Penninsula for the 4th of July. Nothing beats a 4th of July in the UP! We are looking to join a camping club (my parents had so much fun in theirs) and we are also wanting to sell our popup and purchase a hybrid/expandable. Anyone have any advice for selling a popup?? We have had some interest, but just not the right person yet. It is priced very reasonable.
Ok, now that I have rambled...we look forward to getting to know some fellow campers here!!

Welcome, a Uper Eh!

My first camping experience was when my Dad rented a Pop-up Nimrod Camper and we went for a 2 week camping trip to Brimley State Park in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. I was 7 years old, and Flying Purple People Eater was the song of the day, 52 years ago. I have never forgotten that trip and that started my love of camping that has lasted forever!

I hope your family enjoys it as much as I did and do!

Yes, welcome to iRV2. We're glad to have you here.

When you get a chance, check out the North Central & Pond Piggie Forums. There's a group of us, mostly from C/NE OH & W PA that camp together often during the season. We post out whereabouts in those forums. We'd love to have you join us sometime.

As for selling your pop-up, you can advertise it here in iRV2's Classified's section for free. You'll get great exposure.

Hope to meet up w/ya sometime.

We love camping in MI. We will spend 6 weeks there this summer. One month in the Leelanau peninsula. Have taken a couple of trips to the UP, love it up there also. Both of us are retired LEO's.

Hope to hear more of your adventures.
