Hello from New RVers from TN

We just purchased or first RV. It is a 1999 National Tropical. We are planning our first trip in just two weeks. We are planning to go to the Outer Banks, that is if it does not get hit too hard by Irene. If we get to go there, what are our chances of getting into a National Park without reservations? Are they typically full this time of year?

Our most important job is purchasing 8 new tires. Any ideas or advice?

Looking forward to getting to know other experienced RVers,
Annie and Danny

Just Purchased

Danny just got 6 Handkooks and 2 Toyos (for front).

Thanks for your response, we are on the Cumberland Plateau, north of Cookeville.

Welcome to the forum. We are going to Myrtle Beach in two weeks. Hoping there's no damage there. We love Nags Head, but there just aren't too many campgrounds there. Prbably would be a good business to start...

Thanks John, We are thinking of going south to Huntington Island State Park and then to Hunting Island out of Buford. I am originally from GA, and those are old haunts from times gone by. I'm afraid the Outer Banks will be too damaged, but who knows. we are planning to leave middle TN on Sept. 4th. This will be our maiden voyage. We must get tie bar and hookup device for our Honda CRV before we leave. Who knows, maybe we'll cross paths. Thanks for the note. Annie and Danny

Well, good luck whatever you decide. We have 2 kids and 4 G-kids in Albany, GA. We go down there and campout in one of the driveways when we visit...

Good luck with your RV. We will be heading your way about the middle of Sept. We love to camp at Defeated Creek near Carthage. You have a great many nice campgrounds in your area. We also love the town of cookville, we almost moved there a couple of years back. Sure wish now we had.
