Hello from Northern CA!
Hello all,
Thought I should post here as an introduction. I bought a 1990 Allegro 31' class A RV. Has 52K miles on it, in very nice cosmetic shape but has been parked for a few years. Did not bring it home yet...since I bought it last labor day weekend and no tires stores were open so we left it at the previous owners house until we can get back there. It's about 350 miles away in Oregon. The drive home has a lot of mountain passes to go over so I'm a bit concerned about having any problems getting home in an unknown RV.
This isn't our first RV, actually it is our 4th so I do have some experience with these older rigs...
Wish us luck!! Looking fwd to getting this rig home so I can go over it and fully check it out.
Regards,
Tom

Where is the coach?
Which tools/supplies are you bringing?

Well, after I have the two front tires replaced, brakes checked, drive shaft looked at, and electric radiator fans checked... I'm bringing my race track tool box (sae and metric sockets, wrenches, screw drivers, VOM, etc), air compressor, coolant, oil, trouble light, mat to lay on. Can't think of anything else... Oh, and I just signed up for Good Sam roadside assistance!
The rig is near Florance OR - it's about 340 miles away from home. I would not be as concerned if it was a flat drive home, but it is on I5 through a lot of hill climbing mountain passes.
Any other suggestions on what to bring? Oh, and my wife will be following up the rear in her car.
Tom
