Hello from Oregon

Good afternoon,
Decided to join up on the forum when irv2 kept coming up on searches as we look for a motorhome for our family. We are a younger family with 5 kids (2.5 yr twins up to 13) looking to get out camping and camping with our boat. Because of the size of our family and recreation choices, looking at Class A pushers. But being a single income home we are primarily looking at coaches around 2000 MY or so. Currently planning to go checkout a 1999d Discovery 36T with a 275 HP 5.9 Cummins. Here to learn any pitfalls to watch out for when shopping and then eventually all about upgrades etc. Iím fairly mechanically inclined (installed a 92 Cummins in my 86 F250 myself) and will be the primary mechanical maintenance provider on the coach.
Looking forward to learning lots. Thanks!

Sounds like you have a solid plan and the ability to do some work on the "experienced" unit that you purchase.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome from Dallas, the one in Oregon. Dont get too hung up on a single style. Instead find a floor plan that works for your family. For instance there are many fifth wheels with rear bunk rooms that accomodate 4.
