Hello from Perrysburg Ohio

Hi All,
Last year my wife and I bought a new pickup and a used 5th wheel.

We did a few test runs to nearby Maumee Bay State Park, Ohio in the autumn.
And this winter we took a two week trip down to Florida.

The upshot: we love RVing. So many advantages to home life;
just to mention a few:
-no need for extensions cords
-all our possessions within reach and reduced to a few cabinets
-toilet flush with foot pedal is extra hygienic

After our 20 day trial run, we decided to put our house on the market. We have an offer and the appraiser came by today. If all goes well we are hitting the road in April.

This forum helped us during our 5th-wheel buying decision. Thank you contributors.

I'm planning on making a bunch of improvements to our rig before we hit the road and I might come back with questions. Most of the improvements are about making the trailer fit for cats to live in.

That our animals have a great place is important to me and is part of what I do for a living.
My work is described here and here
Or to save you the time: I do design work for zoos and aquariums, helping to improve the living quarters of animals.

English eez nod my first language. You might sink I'm a poet (or idiot) because of my creative use of it. Except for this paragraph all my errors are unintentional. But I usually get my point across.

I'm also posting at the Jayco owner forum.

My thanks to all that contribute their time and keep this forum running.

See you on the road or the campground.
Martin (and Laura, and many cats)

Hello and welcome from Michigan. We have been to Maumee State park and really enjoyed the secluded sites. You can rent bikes there to ride the many bike trails also. It is one of our 2 favorite State parks, the other being Sterling in M.I..

Hi Martin & Laura! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

Hope you enjoy the Eagle! We pulled a 5er for 10 years before getting the MH. We loved it! Enjoy the forum!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
