Hello from Reno
I do not own, not have I ever owned, an RV in my entire life. I rented a camper on my honeymoon in Iceland and that sealed the deal for both my wife and I that we wanted to live this way. She works remotely and I have a job where I could pick up work when needed. The idea is to free me up for more life, less work. She wants to work off debt. I am thinking Id like to find something that's self driving because am a motorcycle rider. I intend to buy a small enclosed trailer and pull my bike with me. If it weren't for this Is probably do a truck and trailer type of setup. I have 6 months until I need to be in some type of setup and I have no clue where to start. It's a bit overwhelming.

Shame that you just missed the RV Show in Pomona, but you might want to go to RV shows and walk through some dealers.
Go slow and you will find what you want. No is the time for research.

Glad to have you here in the forum with us.
Just start by looking at RV sites www.rvtrader.com is one of them. Go to as many dealers as you can and walk through them. If you can get to a show, better yet. We've all gone through the process. Take your time you'll find what will suit you. Good luck with the search.
Happy Trails!!!

Hopefully once I find a potential candidate for purchase I will post up here for advice. I am having a hard time accepting that at some point I'll have to take the plunge and that also these things seem to come with much risk

Good luck with your search/decision. You can always get the toy hauler later
