Hello from Sacramento, California...

yes, where the protests are going on... and where the Terminator was our governor! New member check-in.

New to the forums... you'll see me mostly on the Outdoors RV Owner's area for obvious reasons.

It's great to see what others are doing and glean new ideas and benefit from the vast experience base out there.

I hope when out of the newbie phase to contribute as well.

We've rented and RV'd a bit in Alaska with class C's and truck camper rigs. We are new as owners and to travel trailers (except a one time rental with a teardrop where we learned that that was too small for us). We initially thought we'd go the truck camper route, but ended up going with the travel trailer. In future however, we may revisit the truck camper.

Anyhow, that's us in a nutshell and it is nice to join the group.

ioski & the XYL

Good luck with the TT. Welcome to the site. We have been "Condo Camping" since 1991 this is our 7th MH. Since retiring we have put 20,000 miles in a year and a half. Have fun and don't sweat the small stuff.

Hi Arch, I've not RV camped in Truckee / the Truckee area. Having been born and raised in Sacramento, I've gone up to Truckee and the Sierra's (El Dorado/Tahoe) quite a bit car camping, backpacking, etc... The area is very nice, as I'm sure your part of the Sierra's is too. Now that we are TT folk, we'll have relevant reporting for our part of the state in the near future. :-)

Thank you!

Sorry, for the delay in reply.

Thank you to all for the great welcome.

We were off on another shakedown cruise to Clear Lake State Park. No hook-ups, but nice and quiet; except for the bass boats in the morning but not that bad. Solar panel (Renogy 100 watt) worked as expected even got some an impy amp in partial shade. Will be adding a second. Experimented (R&D) with an inverter setup, so will be going forward with that too. Learned a bit about evaporative cooled refrigerators and next steps in trying to get up to speed how to make it work more efficiency. Installed wifi rear TT camera worked well. Dog is getting used to the new space too!

Long story short; all the information on the forums here has helped us a lot and we are progressing along much faster than if the forums were not available.
